Provincial Fatherland Front: Strengthening social supervision and criticism

(Baonghean.vn) - On November 23rd, in Quynh Luu district, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee organized a conference to review the Fatherland Front's work in 2015 for the cluster of districts including Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc and Hoang Mai town.

In 2015, the activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the cluster saw many innovations, focusing on propaganda and mobilization of all strata of people to participate in patriotic emulation movements, continuing to improve the quality of the "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas" campaign associated with building new rural areas; and successfully implementing the "Day for the Poor" campaign and the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign.

The organization contributed opinions to the draft political reports of Party congresses at all levels; provided feedback on the draft Civil Code (amended) and the Criminal Code (amended); promptly grasped public opinion, thoughts, and aspirations of all strata of the people and reflected them to the Party and the State for consideration and resolution; social supervision and criticism were carried out in a more in-depth and clear manner; people's supervision and inspection activities, and community investment supervision were quite effective; actively participated in coordinating the resolution of a number of complex cases in the area...

In 2016, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels continued to coordinate the dissemination of information and raise public awareness of the Party and State's policies and laws; developed action programs to effectively implement the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels and the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress; participated in the effective implementation of Front work, and participated in the election of deputies to the 13th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term.

Continue to promote and improve the quality of campaigns launched and led by the Vietnam Fatherland Front; strengthen the Fatherland Front's social supervision and criticism, and its participation in contributing opinions to Party and government building; proactively monitor the situation in religious and ethnic affairs; mobilize religious leaders, officials, and the people to build national unity; and contribute to the successful achievement of the local economic, social, national defense, and security goals.
