MU considers selling 'fighting cocks' Mainoo and Garnacho for 70 million pounds
MU are considering selling Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, two young talents who grew up at Carrington academy, with a valuation of 70 million pounds.

This information was revealed by many sources close to the club, in the context that MU is under financial pressure and must comply with regulations on profit and sustainability (PSR).
The Daily Mail first reported that United were ready to sell the two young stars, noting that selling academy players would result in a 100% profit on the balance sheet. This meant that United were looking to boost their budget as the profits from Mainoo and Garnacho were substantial. The report was later supported by the Athletic and the Guardian, which also reported that Rasmus Hojlund was also for sale.
Alejandro Garnacho has struggled to find his place under Ruben Amorim and has struggled to adapt to a 3-4-3 formation. The Argentine winger has been left out of the starting line-up in the last five games, fuelling speculation that he could leave.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is embroiled in a contract dispute with United. He is said to be demanding £200,000 a week, a figure the club is reluctant to meet as they are looking to reduce their wage bill. United's attempts to sell high-paid players also make it more difficult to reach an agreement with Mainoo.
Considering selling Mainoo and Garnacho shows that MU is trying very hard to balance finances, and may make many surprising decisions in the near future.
