MU quickly "grabbed" Vardy and Chicharito, Mahrez flirted with Arsenal
If he fails to sign Alexis Sanchez, Mourinho will recruit Vardy or Chicharito. Liverpool started negotiations to buy Mahrez but the player himself wants to join Arsenal... are the latest transfer news on the evening of January 12.
The British press is reporting that MU is willing to spend 25 million pounds to steal Alexis Sanchez from under Man City's nose. However, the deal seems to be unfeasible, as the Chilean star seems to have "fallen in love" with the offer of his former coach Pep Guardiola.

The Telegraph said that if he fails to attract Sanchez, Mourinho will turn to hunting two other quality strikers: Jaime Vardy (Leicester) or Chicharito (West Ham).
Ibrahimovic has yet to fully regain his form and fitness after his knee injury. Meanwhile, Lukaku is showing signs of being overloaded and needs to rest.
Mourinho does not consider Rashford or Martial as true strikers, so he urged the Red Devils boss to spend money to recruit another experienced striker in the Premier League.
Jaime Vardy is currently valued at around £35m by Leicester. West Ham are planning to offload Javier Hernandez if they receive an offer of between £10m and £15m.

Riyad Mahrez has begun talks to replace Coutinho at Liverpool. However, the Algerian star would rather join the Gunners in London.

After receiving 142 million pounds from the blockbuster deal of Coutinho, coach Klopp is urgently looking for a replacement. Thomas Lemar and Mahrez are the two top candidates so they are approaching to bring one of the two players to Anfield in January.
However, sources close to Mahrez confirmed that he has bought a villa in London and has been constantly in touch with Arsenal. Up to now, The Gunners have not made an offer to this 26-year-old midfielder.
Leicester left open the possibility of selling Mahrez to any team that bids £50 million.
Everton want to buy Theo Walcott
