Exciting summer of Nghe An youth in France

(Baonghean.vn) – Cultural exchange, making new friends, studying, playing, living with French people… are some of the many activities that Nghe An students are participating in in Côtes d'Armor province, France – a sister province of Nghe An province.

On May 20, 9 students, including 6 students from Nghe An, 3 students from Ha Tinh and 2 teachers from Nghe An, went to France to participate in a cultural exchange program between the two provinces of Côtes d'Armor - Nghe An for 2 weeks. This is an activity that takes place every 2 years, starting in 1996, regularly organized by the French Language Center Côtes d'Armor - Vietnam.

To participate in the cultural exchange in the summer of 2016, French teachers in Vinh city (Nghe An) will select good and excellent students in French to participate in a direct interview with Mr. Philippe Normand - Head of the inter-school department of the Côtes d'Armor Association - Vietnam.

The interview took place at the Côtes d'Armor French Language Center - Vietnam, located on Nguyen Duc Canh Street in April 2015. Finally, 9 students including 3 8th graders from Le Loi Secondary School, 3 11th graders from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, 3 11th graders from Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted and 2 teachers were sent to France to participate in the program.

During the exchange trip, students will study and play with French students in the morning.

During the 2016 exchange, in the morning, the students went to Roger-Vercel school in Dinan and Beaufeuillage school in Saint-Brieuc.

In the afternoon, there are cultural activities, sightseeing, entertainment... In the evening, students can interact and live with French families.

Pham Thi Hong An, class 11C4K43, Phan Boi Chau School, is currently participating in a cultural exchange program in France. She shared that this was a very useful trip. It helped her learn more knowledge, make more friends, and especially made her love French and France even more.

In the afternoons there will be cultural activities. Mr. and Mrs. Henry, Salanson Pierre-André, Laurance Salanson Delon… are introducing French culture to the students.

It is known that before 2014, the exchange program was for primary, secondary and high school students to learn French in Nghe An province. However, from 2014 onwards, the program is only for secondary and high school students in Nghe An and high school students in Ha Tinh.

Participating in the program, students are sponsored for living expenses during 2 weeks staying with people in Côtes d'Armor province. To date, in Nghe An province, more than 200 students, teachers and educational administrators have traveled to Côtes d'Armor, France to exchange and study.
