Heavy rain caused deep flooding on many streets in Hue city
Up to 250mm of rain in just one night caused many areas in Hue City to be submerged, greatly affecting traffic and people's lives.
This morning, many areas in Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province, were seriously flooded after heavy rain that lasted from last night. According to recorded data, total rainfall was from 150mm to 250mm, overloading the urban drainage system.
The heavy and continuous rain turned many main roads and residential areas into rivers, making it very difficult for people to move around. Some central roads were deeply flooded, many vehicles stalled, causing local traffic jams during the morning rush hour.

The flooding has also directly affected the daily lives and businesses of households, especially in low-lying areas. This heavy rain is part of a general weather pattern affecting the entire Central region, with many other localities also warned of the risk of flooding and landslides.
Local authorities are implementing response measures and recommending that people limit movement through deeply flooded areas to ensure safety.
