(Baonghean.vn) -Heavy rain over the past several days has caused landslides on many roads in the two mountainous districts of Tuong Duong and Ky Son.

The water level on the Muong Xen - Tay Son road section has risen, making it extremely dangerous for vehicles to pass through.

Some routes such as National Highway 7 and Ta Ca - Muong Ai route are always in a state of alert due to the risk of landslides. At these points, the weak ground combined with long-term rain causes frequent landslides. In Muong Tip and Muong Ai communes, although the authorities have tried to mobilize people and machinery, traffic at some landslide points is still very difficult.

According to Mr. Lu Ba Noong - Vice Chairman of Muong Ai Commune People's Committee, landslides still occur frequently in Xop Lau, Vang Phao, Pung, Xop Xang villages..., cars cannot pass through, and motorbikes and pedestrians also have difficulty.

Talking to us, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tri - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ky Son district said that in the past few days, there has been widespread rain in Ky Son district, however, as of this morning, September 17, no commune has reported any damage. At present, people have started harvesting early corn, while rice is still in the earing stage and we are sending staff to the grassroots to grasp and count the damage situation to have the earliest report.

In Tuong Duong district, there has also been rain and heavy rain in the past 2 days. Some routes such as Luu Kien - Na Ngoi, Yen Na - Yen Tinh - Huu Khuong also had landslides at some points. In particular, on Luu Kien - Na Ngoi route, there was a landslide section deeper than half the roadway, making it very difficult for people and vehicles to travel.

"We have been in regular contact with the communes to grasp the flood situation in the district. Currently, the rain is very heavy in the district, some roads in the district have landslides, but the crops of the people have not been affected yet" - Mr. Lo Kham Kha - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tuong Duong district said.
