(Baonghean.vn) -Heavy rains over the past few days have caused landslides on many roads in the two mountainous districts of Tuong Duong and Ky Son.

Mực nước khe đoạn đường Mường Xén - Tây Sơn dâng cao khiến cho xe cộ đi qua hết sức nguy hiểm.
The water level in the stream along the Muong Xen - Tay Son road section has risen, making it extremely dangerous for vehicles to pass through.

Several routes, such as National Highway 7 and the Ta Ca - Muong Ai route, are constantly under alert due to the risk of landslides. At these points, the weak soil combined with prolonged rainfall leads to frequent landslides. In Muong Tip and Muong Ai communes, despite the efforts of the authorities to mobilize local resources and machinery, traffic remains very difficult at some landslide sites.

According to Mr. Lu Ba Noong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Muong Ai commune, landslides still frequently occur in the villages of Xop Lau, Vang Phao, Pung, Xop Xang, etc., making it impossible for cars to pass, and also very difficult for people traveling by motorbike and on foot.

Speaking with us, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tri, Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Ky Son district, said that in the past few days, Ky Son district has experienced widespread rain. However, as of this morning, September 17th, no commune has reported any damage. Currently, farmers have begun harvesting early corn, while rice is still in the heading stage. We are sending officials to the affected areas to assess and compile a report on the damage as soon as possible."

In Tuong Duong district, there has also been rain, including heavy rain, over the past two days. Several roads, such as Luu Kien - Na Ngoi and Yen Na - Yen Tinh - Huu Khuong, have experienced landslides. In particular, on the Luu Kien - Na Ngoi road, a section has collapsed more than halfway down the road, making it extremely difficult for people and vehicles to travel.

“We have been in regular contact with the communes to monitor the flood situation in the district. Currently, it is raining heavily in the district, and some roads have been affected by landslides, but the crops of the people have not been affected yet,” said Mr. Lo Kham Kha, Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Tuong Duong district.

Nghe An Online Newspaper will continue to provide updates on the flood situation in the western districts of Nghe An province in subsequent news reports.
