Heavy rains have caused serious landslides on National Highway 7 leading to Ky Son.
Heavy rain on the night of September 30th caused high water levels and strong currents, severely eroding roads in Ky Son.
On the morning of October 1st, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong, Head of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Ky Son district, stated that after the heavy rain on the night of September 30th, rising and fast-flowing water caused erosion of roads in Luu Hoa, Xieng Thu, and Lan villages (Chieu Luu commune); and some small landslides occurred in Huu Kiem.
The landslide in Luu Hoa village runs along the road, spanning approximately 50 meters, and shows signs of further erosion if the rain continues and the water flow is strong.
Authorities are currently on duty, regulating traffic and clearing debris. This morning, Ky Son district is holding an emergency meeting and has dispatched forces to the scene to inspect and handle the situation.
In addition, heavy rains caused damage to trees and rice crops in some areas.
