Heavy rain causes serious landslides on National Highway 7 to Ky Son

Heavy rain on the night of September 30 and rising water caused serious road erosion in Ky Son.

On the morning of October 1, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ky Son district said: After the rain on the night of September 30, high and fast-flowing water eroded roads in Luu Hoa, Xieng Thu and Lan villages (Chieu Luu commune); some small landslides in Huu Kiem.

The landslide in Luu Hoa village runs along the road, about 50m long and is showing signs of continuing to erode if it continues to rain and the water flows strongly.

Currently, functional forces are on duty, regulating traffic and clearing rocks and soil. This morning, Ky Son district is holding an urgent meeting and sending forces to the scene to inspect and handle the situation.

In addition, heavy rains damaged trees and rice in some localities.
