Record-breaking heavy rains in Argentina kill 8 people.

Approximately 350,000 people were affected by the heavy rains.

Argentinian media reported on April 3rd that at least eight people died due to heavy rain and strong winds on the night of April 1st and early morning of April 2nd in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. Four of the victims died due to flooding in the northern part of the capital.

According to Buenos Aires Mayor Mauricio Macri, approximately 350,000 people have been affected by the flooding, and 300 have been evacuated. The severe weather has also caused widespread power outages and disrupted public transportation due to floodwaters and fallen trees.

Argentine authorities said this was a record-breaking rainfall in the region, with more than 155 millimeters measured.
