Heavy rains have caused further serious landslides on National Highway 7A.

(Baonghean)Heavy rains from October 10-12 caused National Highway 7A to once again suffer from layers of soil and rocks falling from the mountain slopes onto the road surface, with many sections experiencing further landslides and serious damage.

Following the recent heavy rains and floods, the Nghe An Department of Transport mobilized personnel and machinery, coordinating with local authorities to urgently repair and reinforce severely damaged sections of road. In particular, heavy rains from October 10-12 caused further landslides on National Highway 7A. The two most severely affected areas were the sections through Tuong Duong and Ky Son districts, causing traffic congestion and posing a significant risk of accidents.

In response to this situation, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has directed the Nghe An Department of Transport, along with local authorities, to remove the landslide debris and continue reinforcing vulnerable points to ensure safe travel for the people.
