As one of the most beautiful destinations to see the ripe rice season in the North, Vi Xuyen and Hoang Su Phi districts in Ha Giang were fortunately not affected much after storm No. 3. At this time, the rice fields gradually change color, creating a picturesque scene.
In Ha Giang, terraced fields in some districts such as Vi Xuyen and Hoang Su Phi are entering the ripe rice season. Tourists consider this place to have the most beautiful “golden season” in the North, along with some famous destinations such as Tu Le, Mu Cang Chai, etc.
Mr. Hoang Van Huy (in Hanoi, specializes in tourism)Ha Giang- Cao Bang) said, afterTyphoon No. 3 Yagi, Ha Giang had heavy rain for several days but most tourist destinations were not as severely affected as some provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai, ...
Besides, because there is no strong wind, the rice does not fall down, the terraced fields still retain their original beauty.

“Currently, many tourists are interested and constantly asking for news about the weather, the rice harvest season as well as homestay areas in Vi Xuyen or Hoang Su Phi in Ha Giang to visit these places,” Huy said.
In late September and early October, tourism service businesses in these localities are also ready to welcome visitors to admire the beautiful golden season in the highlands.

The young man suggested some destinations to see the beautiful rice season in Vi Xuyen district: Na Mau village and Xa Phin village (both in Phuong Tien commune), about 20-30 minutes by motorbike from the center of Ha Giang city.
In September, the terraced fields in these two villages are covered in lush green rice, which will gradually turn yellow by the end of the month. In early October, the rice season here is expected to enter its most brilliant period.
About 10km from the city center, the three villages of Na Thac, Khuoi My, and Lung Vai (all located in Phuong Do commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province) are also destinations with beautiful ripe rice seasons but are not yet known to many tourists.
Huy commented that the roads to the villages and hamlets in the highlands here have been concreted, although narrow and steep, they are not too difficult to travel. The young man also expressed regret for not being able to visit the rice season in Hoang Su Phi this time.

Representatives of some accommodation service businesses in Ha Giang said that the weather in the districts is currently nice and there are no restrictions on tourism activities. However, due to concerns after the effects of floods in the Northern region, tourists have not yet returned to Ha Giang.
According to the recommendation of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Giang province, to ensure safety, tourists should consider and monitor the weather before the trip and limit travel through areas at risk of landslides in the area. For example, the route running through 4 districts of the rocky plateau, including the road from Meo Vac to Nho Que river, Thuan Hoa - Thai An road, Dong Van - Meo Vac road and some roads and residential areas in Ha Giang city and Xin Man, Quang Binh.
