Health insurance coverage for high-tech medical services.
(Baonghean) - Clause 2, Article 7 of Decree No. 62/2009/ND-CP dated July 27, 2009 stipulates that when health insurance participants receive medical examination and treatment in accordance with regulations and utilize high-tech, high-cost services, the Health Insurance Fund will reimburse the medical examination and treatment costs within the scope of their entitlement as follows:
- 100% of the costs are covered for children under 6 years old; revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945; revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to before the General Uprising on August 19, 1945; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; war invalids, those receiving benefits similar to war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers with a loss of working capacity of 81% or more; war invalids, those receiving benefits similar to war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers when treating recurring wounds or illnesses.
- 100% of the cost will be covered for certain individuals currently working in the People's Public Security Force, but not exceeding 40 times the minimum wage for each use of that technical service.
- 100% of the cost will be covered for those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution, but not exceeding 40 times the minimum wage for each use of that technical service.
- 95% of the costs are covered for pensioners, recipients of social welfare benefits and monthly disability allowances; people from poor households; and ethnic minorities living in areas with difficult or extremely difficult socio-economic conditions.
- 80% of the cost for other users, but not exceeding 40 times the minimum wage for each use of that technical service.
