Health insurance benefits for high-tech services

(Baonghean) - Clause 2, Article 7 of Decree No. 62/2009/ND-CP dated July 27, 2009 stipulates that when health insurance participants go for medical examination and treatment in accordance with regulations and use high-tech services with high costs, the Health Insurance Fund will pay for medical examination and treatment costs within the scope of benefits as follows:

- 100% of costs for children under 6 years old; revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945; revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to before the August 19, 1945 General Uprising; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers who have lost 81% or more of their working capacity; war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers when treating wounds or recurring illnesses.

- 100% of the cost for some subjects working in the people's police force but not exceeding 40 months of minimum salary for one use of that technical service.

- 100% of the cost for people with revolutionary contributions but not exceeding 40 months of minimum wage for one use of that technical service.

- 95% of costs for pensioners, people eligible for social security benefits and monthly disability benefits; people in poor households; ethnic minorities living in areas with difficult or especially difficult socio-economic conditions.

- 80% of the cost for other subjects but not exceeding 40 months of minimum salary for one use of that technical service.
