This supercar not only possesses incredible speed but also attracts attention because it runs on trash.

Recently, the legendary Italian car company Bertone has attracted the attention of the community when introducing the GB110 model - the world's first supercar that runs on trash and has a speed of up to 380 km/h.

Specifically, GB110 will use technology from Select Fuel. This technology helps convert waste polycarbonate materials such as plastic bottles or plastic waste into liquid fuel.

In addition, Select Fuel's technology can also produce liquid fuel from biomass (such as waste fats and oils), municipal waste (grass clippings and leftover food) or agricultural waste (crops such as camel grass or rapeseed). The use of recycled fuel on the GB110 is said to contribute to reducing environmental pollution.

“Plastic waste needs to be treated as a valuable resource. Through Select Fuel technology, we turn waste back into its original form,” said Bertone’s CEO.

Select Fuel's waste-to-fuel technology is expected to be applied in many different fields, from transportation, aviation to Formula 1 sports cars and high-end supercars.

The Bertone GB110 model can reach speeds of up to 380 km/h.

“The GB110 continues Bertone’s automotive heritage. The design of the GB110 is a perfect combination of the soft, rounded lines of the 50s with the sharp, angular lines of the 70s,” said Bertone’s design and project director.

Not only that, the GB110 also has many other interesting features, for example, this supercar can accelerate from 0 - 60 mph in 2.79 seconds with a maximum speed of 379 km/h.

The Bertone GB110 special edition will be delivered to customers in 2024.

A limited edition of 33 GB110s has been launched to mark the company’s 110th anniversary, but deliveries will not begin until spring 2024 at the earliest.

In addition, customers will also be able to choose modifications to “personalize” their supercar. The selling price of the GB110 has not yet been disclosed.
