Responding to the question about signs of law violations, especially consumer deception by Mumuso Vietnam, whether this business will be required to take other measures such as suspending business, transferring to the investigation agency, etc., Mr. Trinh Anh Tuan said: "The company's violations are not to the extent of having to close down, but only require correction of the mistakes. If they correct them well, they will be allowed to continue doing business, but if they do not correct them, there will be other measures."
It is known that the Market Management Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) is also directing the consideration of punishing Mumuso for signs of violating the law and will soon announce the form.
Previously, in the announcement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's inspection conclusion with Mumuso Vietnam, this company was said to have imported 2,257/2,273 (accounting for 99.3%) types of goods from China; the rest were purchased by the company from other domestic suppliers of goods and products.
In particular, in the information and documents publicly provided to consumers, the company uses a lot of content showing its origin from Korea but does not provide the basis or documents to verify the accuracy of the information, especially information about the origin and production technology of the products.
From the perspective of competition law, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the company's use of some public advertising content at the entrance of its business location such as: "Mumuso; Price from only 22,000; KOREA"; using the word KOREA on product bags, is inaccurate, which can make customers understand that the store, manufacturer, place of production, origin, and products of the Company are related to KOREA (South Korea).
In addition, this company was also found to have many other signs of violating legal regulations.
Recently, the Vietnamese market has seen a boom in Korean and Japanese-style brands (such as Miniso, Daiso, Mumuso, Yoyoso, etc.) and has attracted a certain number of customers. One of the reasons is that the shopping behavior of young people is greatly influenced by movies, photos, books, stories, etc. from these countries. However, actual records show that most of the products sold at these chain stores are of Chinese origin.
