Celebrating the work "Nghe An Verse" by the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao being awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 5 (January 18, Mau Tuat year), in Vinh city, Nghe An Folk Arts Association held a meeting at the beginning of the year, congratulating the Ho Chi Minh Award-winning work of the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao and celebrating the longevity of the elderly members.
Attending the meeting were leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports and many members of the Nghe An Folk Arts Association (VNDG).

In 2017, the Nghe An VNDG Association operated actively and achieved encouraging results. The association's scientific council reviewed and accepted 8/15 topics of its members. Collection, research and publishing activities were vibrant, many members published research works, received certificates of merit and noble medals and were introduced in the mass media. 02 members received awards from the Vietnam VNDG Association; 01 member received the award for excellent works from the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology...

In 2018, the Nghe An VNDG Association continued to register research works, collect, disseminate and teach folk culture, creating practical meaning and influence. At the same time, it opened seminars, scientific discussions and training courses, closely following the publication of "Scientific works of members" (volume 1) and building an outline of "Scientific works of members" (volume 2), focusing on developing members and expanding exchanges with VNDG Associations of other provinces...

At the meeting, the members congratulated the work "Ve xu Nghe" (9 volumes) which won the Ho Chi Minh Prize in 2017 of the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao. Born in Thanh Hoa, for nearly 60 years, the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao was attached to Nghe An and passionate about researching the culture of this land with a total of over 50 books. He was certified by the Vietnam Book of Records Center as "The person with the most research works on Nghe An folk culture" and received many awards and noble titles.

On this occasion, the Nghe An VNDG Association also celebrated the longevity of 3 members: Phan Ba Ham (80 years old), Phan Xuan Thanh and Nguyen Xuan Duc (70 years old). At the same time, certificates of merit were awarded to 5 members with outstanding achievements in 2017.
