Want to open fire in Donbass Ukraine needs the US to "wave the signal flag"
Tensions in Donbass are unlikely to escalate after Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko gave the order to open fire. Ukraine needs a “signal” from Washington to do so, said Sergei Panteleev, director of the Institute of Russian Abroad.

Earlier, during an inspection tour of the exercises in Khmelnytsky province, Ukrainian leader Poroshenko ordered law enforcement officers to open fire on Donbass to "save people", noting that it was necessary to "protect every Ukrainian soldier".
"This is his election rhetoric. In fact, there will be no tension without a signal from Washington, and as you have noticed, they are definitely not inclined to do so. There will be no attack in reality," the director of the Institute of Russian Studies Abroad affirmed while speaking at a roundtable on the topic "Ukraine: escalation in all directions".
According to experts, Ukrainian security forces are not interested in attacking.
"It's all just a PR show, Poroshenko is trying to boost his prestige with such military statements," Panteleev added.
