Music Bank Hanoi: Are the "crazy fans" no longer crazy?
Different from the images of people hugging and crying, jostling and fainting… Music Bank Hanoi 2015 had more civilized and polite images.
This year, Vietnam is the 9th location that the Music Bank world tour sets foot in, after Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong, Viña del Mar, Jakarta, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City.
With much experience in organizing, the stage of Music Bank Hanoi 2015 was set up magnificently in a Y shape extending to the audience area, making it easy for fans to see the artists. In addition, security was also tightened around the stands, especially in the ticket checking area to avoid chaos.
Music Bank Stage
Remember, in 2012, when KBS Television first organized Music Bank in Vietnam, due to the distribution of invitation tickets (not for sale) and the organization at a location with limited viewers such as the National Convention Center (Hanoi), thousands of fans without tickets gathered and caused chaos outside the National Convention Center. This year, Music Bank learned from experience, organized at My Dinh National Stadium and issued tickets with prices ranging from 300,000 VND to 1,900,000 VND early, divided into areas with security fences, thereby minimizing cases of fans jostling and pushing.
In addition, although the show was scheduled to start at 6pm, the organizers extended the show to 7:30pm so that fans could find their seats. For those in the area near the stage, the organizers specifically asked fans to step back and stand apart. If any group's fans cause a disturbance, that group will not be allowed to perform at Music Bank.
Thanks to the determination of the organizers, there was almost no jostling or pushing leading to fainting like in previous shows with Korean stars coming to Vietnam. On the stands, the organizers gave specific instructions on where to hang banners and slogans for each group. In addition, the organizers also distributed glowing watches that could change color continuously according to the songs for fans to cheer.

During the 2 hours, 7 Korean groups including Sistar, SHINee, GOT7, EXO, Block B, Teen Top and A Pink brought eye-catching performances to the audience. Regardless of the artist, the fans cheered enthusiastically and even sang along to the songs they knew.
The artists were also very enthusiastic in speaking Vietnamese and were always grateful for the opportunity to come to Vietnam to interact with the audience. Many groups even plan to return in the near future because they feel the warm welcome of the Vietnamese audience.
Many foreign fans who followed the Music Bank tour to Vietnam, such as those from Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, etc., were also impressed with the stability of the stands. A fan from Thailand said that she received a lot of help from Vietnamese friends when she wanted to buy tickets to see the show. She hopes to return to Vietnam to learn more about the people and culture here.
When the show ended, fans remained seated in the stands for more than half an hour. Many tears were shed out of regret, but there was no more hugging and crying, even though this was the first time fans of groups like EXO, GOT7, etc. got to meet their idols.
Like many other shows, My Dinh Stadium was covered in trash, posters, water bottles, etc. on the field when the show ended. However, instead of leaving or seeing their idols off at the airport, many K-pop fans stayed at My Dinh Stadium to pick up trash.

This beautiful image shows another aspect of fans, when they have changed from “crazy fans” to conscious people with the desire to make a good impression on their idols. Fans hope that, with enthusiastic cheering, civilized and polite actions, one day soon, their idols will return to Vietnam./.
