The US imposes additional taxes on $200 billion worth of imported goods from China.
The US-China trade war escalated rapidly after US President Donald Trump's announcement.
US President Donald Trump said on June 18 that he had asked his advisers to identify $200 billion worth of Chinese goods that could be subject to tariffs if the country fails to meet US trade demands.

Last week, the US announced a list of Chinese imports subject to tariffs of up to $50 billion.
President Donald Trump's statement came after China announced it would also impose tariffs worth $50 billion on US goods in retaliation for a similar decision by the US earlier.
Mr Trump reacted angrily to China's move and threatened to impose additional tariffs of up to $200 billion if China continued with retaliatory actions.
He said China's actions show that the US is always at an unfair disadvantage in trade with China./.
