US may give tough ultimatum to Ukraine
The Telegraph reported that the US could issue an ultimatum to Ukraine over Russia's conditions.

According to RIA Novosti, the British newspaper Telegraph reported that the US could issue an ultimatum to Ukraine, stipulating either peace on Russia's terms or complete loss of intelligence and logistical support from the US.
“Ukraine is likely to face an ultimatum: either sign a peace deal brokered by US President Donald Trump and on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s terms, or lose US intelligence and logistical support forever,” the Telegraph said.
The Telegraph notes that in the US, President Trump has a lot of support on this issue - people who also consider Russia's request to recognize new territories to be fair.
The publication also highlighted the symbolism of the visit to Washington by the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitrive. The visit took place against the backdrop of the delegation of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky being asked to leave the White House at the end of February.
The Telegraph described it as a “diplomatic coup” for Moscow, noting that “Director Dmitriev went to the place where Mr Zelensky was “expelled”.
“President Trump appears to view Ukraine as a wholly owned US subsidiary,” the Telegraph wrote.
During a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council in January, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the goal of resolving the conflict in Ukraine is not a short-term ceasefire and a pause for Ukraine to regroup and rearm with the aim of continuing the conflict later, but a lasting peace.
According to Mr. Putin, the Russian government will continue to fight for the interests of the Russian people; this is the meaning of the special operation. Mr. Putin noted that peace in Ukraine must be based on “respect for the legitimate interests of all people and all countries living in this region.”
