US sends nuclear detection aircraft to Korean peninsula
(Baonghean.vn)- On April 20, the US Air Force sent a WC-135 aircraft capable of detecting nuclear weapons to the eastern region of the Korean peninsula.

Yonhap news agency quoted an anonymous source from the South Korean government as saying that this special-purpose US aircraft had made an emergency sortie over the eastern sea of the region with the mission of collecting air samples to detect and identify nuclear explosions.
The plane arrived at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan earlier this month.
The purpose of the flight was apparently to test whether North Korea had detonated a nuclear bomb, as well as to test operational readiness in case North Korea did carry out a provocation.
Yonhap news agency also reported that there were rumors that North Korea had informed China about its nuclear test plan./.
