US airstrikes 18 times in Syria in early July
The Pentagon confirmed that the US-led military coalition has carried out a series of airstrikes against IS terrorist targets in Syria.
The US Department of Defense issued a statement confirming that the US military and its allies had carried out airstrikes on several targets believed to be under the control of the IS terrorist organization in northeastern Syria in just the first few days of July. In addition, the US-led military coalition also carried out airstrikes on several targets in Iraq.

According to this announcement, the US military and its allies carried out 18 airstrikes from July 2-8, culminating on July 5 with 6 airstrikes with 11 attacks on IS terrorist targets. The main targets of these airstrikes were IS terrorist vehicles and mobile units, in addition to a few fixed targets such as logistics warehouses and IS terrorist command posts.
The airstrikes are part of Operation Enduring Freedom, a campaign to hunt down the remnants of the IS terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq. Fighters, attack aircraft, bombers, helicopters and drones were mobilized by the US military to participate in this campaign, in addition to the airstrikes with the support of tactical artillery and rocket artillery.
At present, neither Syria nor Russia has made any comments on the Pentagon's announcement. The military operations of the US and its allies in Syria have been opposed by Syria and Russia, with the Damascus government calling the US military operations in Syria an act of aggression.
