US: Another shooting tragedy in Texas, at least 27 people killed

At least 27 people were killed and several others injured in a shooting at a church in the US state of Texas.

CNN reported that the shooting occurred at the First Baptist Church in the Sutherland Springs area, about 300km west of Houston.

Police are said to have shot dead the gunman who opened fire on the crowd.

Immediately after the incident, on his Twitter page, US President Donald Trump prayed for the unfortunate victims. He said that law enforcement officers and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were present at the scene to handle the incident.
