US plans evacuation drills in South Korea
According to Yonhap, military sources said on April 23 that US forces in South Korea plan to hold a drill to evacuate US citizens from South Korea in June.
The regular Courageous Channel exercise, which involves operations to safely evacuate 230,000 US citizens in the event of conflict, comes amid heightened tensions over North Korea's missile and nuclear tests and the US dispatching powerful military assets to South Korea.
