USA: Plane crash in Washington DC kills 6 people.
AFP reported that on December 8, a small plane crashed in Gaithersburg, Maryland, a neighborhood near Washington DC, killing at least three people on board and three on the ground.
A statement from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the twin-engine Embraer EMB-500 aircraft was preparing to land when it crashed, approximately one mile from Montgomery Airport.

The local newspaper, The Gazette, reported that all three people on board the plane were killed, including the CEO of a North Carolina business.
Debris from the plane struck several houses, causing damage, including killing a mother and her two children – a three-year-old and an infant – in one house. In addition, several other houses caught fire.
