My Tam made an unprecedented story in the history of Vietnamese cinema.

Officially released on January 4, after nearly 4 weeks of being released in theaters, "My Assistant" became the hottest movie at the Vietnamese box office in early 2019 with revenue of tens of billions of dong.

Although My Tam was praised for her acting, the ending of “My Assistant” was criticized for being too cheesy, making the film too long-winded and disappointing to the audience. The ending is also considered the most regrettable point of “My Assistant”.

The new version will have a happy ending to please fans.

During a meeting with the audience and fans at the cinema, My Tam - the main actress and also the director of the film - expressed her intention to make a different ending for "My Assistant".

Not making fans wait any longer, My Tam will release the Director's Cut version of "My Assistant" with a different ending, which will officially premiere on January 30 and last for 1 week until it officially leaves theaters.

This is the first time in the history of Vietnamese cinema that a movie has been released with two different endings.

Audiences are waiting for a happy ending for the love story of Phuc Nam and Kha Doanh.

The new version of the film is also a gift that My Tam wants to give to the audience who have always loved and supported the film throughout the past time. Besides, the female singer also hopes that movie lovers will have a joyful entertainment choice on the occasion of the New Year.

Before that, My Tam also made a big move when she decided to give away 10,000 CDs of the soundtrack of the movie “My Assistant” to moviegoers. The female singer will continue with Mai Tai Phen on the last cinetours in the coming days before the end of the year.
