My Tam and her students "cause chaos" on The Voice final night

The fiery duet of My Tam and her student Duc Phuc with a lively medley of familiar songs by the legendary band ABBA, made the audience at the final night of The Voice Vietnam 2015 on the evening of September 13 unable to sit still. They shouted and cheered for the duo non-stop.

Last night, the final night of The Voice 2015 featured performances by four contestants from four teams: Yen Le (Tuan Hung's team), Duc Phuc (My Tam's team), Hoang Dung (Thu Phuong's team) and To Ny (Mr. Dam's team). Each contestant performed three acts, including a duet with their coach.

My Tam's students shine

With three performances in the final night, My Tam's student - the shy guy Duc Phuc was considered to shine the brightest.

With the advantage of an emotional voice, My Tam's student often chooses soulful, gentle songs to touch the hearts of listeners. My Tam set increasingly difficult challenges for her student so that he could perfect himself with the second song - Flow, My River. This is a difficult song, containing cultural and historical depths that a young contestant like Duc Phuc would have a hard time expressing. That's why a boy who is inherently self-conscious like Duc Phuc had to learn, experience and express himself more to overcome his own shadow on stage. This performance made My Tam very emotional and proud, she also thought that Vietnamese showbiz is lacking factors like Duc Phuc when his soul and voice make listeners seem to forget his 'not so handsome' appearance.

And in the final performance with coach My Tam, the two teachers and students really made the stage explode with a medley of the hit songs of the band ABBA. With this medley, Duc Phuc proved that this guy not only has emotions and a strong voice but is also very professional and ensures the entertainment factor of an artist performing on stage.

From a shy boy who was afraid to interact with the outside world, Duc Phuc is now confident in expressing his voice and personality, not only that, but also proving that he is a professional artist despite his not-so-photogenic appearance. Yen Le, Hoang Dung - two-horse race!

Unlike Duc Phuc's shyness, Yen Le and Hoang Dung showed their maturity and determination in the race to win the Voice of Vietnam.

Yen Le is a face that has competed in many competitions, but when it comes to The Voice, her talent is recognized and she really shines. Regarding her singing voice, Yen Le is considered to be stable and has her own style. But importantly, she has proven her composing talent on the Voice Vietnam stage with a series of songs that are not inferior to professional artists. Yen Le represents a generation of talented and multi-styled young artists.

In the final night last night, Yen Le continued to perform a self-composed song - Thank you sincerely, as a thank you to the audience, coaches and relatives and friends who have been supporting her throughout the past time. Although it was her first time debuting, the song immediately created an effect on stage and entered the hearts of the audience as well as the coaches, which proved Yen Le's composing talent, becoming her most important highlight on the journey to conquer The Voice Vietnam this year.

Like Yen Le, Hoang Dung is also a notable factor at The Voice this year because he possesses both a beautiful voice and a very professional composing ability. Hoang Dung has introduced many of his compositions and last night he continued to perform Weakness - a composition about the emotions of a man in love.

Although not highly regarded for his appearance, Hoang Dung is considered a 'new discovery' of Thu Phuong when he rose from zero and completely conquered Thu Phuong, forcing her to give all 100 points in the semi-final night last week to give Hoang Dung a chance to show his talent. Thu Phuong's decision caused a lot of controversy, but in the end, Hoang Dung proved himself worthy and is an exciting 'new breeze' of Vietnamese music in the near future.

Will To Ny be the surprise factor?

To Ny caused a surprise in the semi-final night when she overcame strong opponent Vicky Nhung to enter the final night and it was a deliberate calculation of Mr. Dam.

Although she does not have an excellent singing voice, To Ny is a versatile talent and according to Mr. Dam, only she has the strength to compete with the 'warriors' of the other teams.

To be fair, To Ny's voice is not really stable and does not have its own color, but she has very impressive transformations in each performance, making it impossible for the audience to predict what 'trick' she will use next. This female contestant also proves that she can sing many different genres of music, from pop to dance or cheo, cai luong... it can be said that To Ny is a very notable contestant of Mr. Dam in this year's competition.
