The US is gathering many strategic weapons to the Korean peninsula.

Accordingly, the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Carl Vinson (CVN 70) will arrive in the East Sea on April 26-27, while the nuclear-powered submarine USS Michigan (SSGN 727) will arrive at Busan port this morning. USS Michigan can travel over 2,000 km, carrying more than 150 Tomahawk cruise missiles (BGM-109) that can accurately attack major military facilities in North Korea.
Experts say the US's deployment of a large number of strategic weapons to the Korean Peninsula on the occasion of Pyongyang's 85th anniversary of the founding of its army is aimed at demonstrating its power and preventing the country from taking provocative actions such as nuclear tests and ballistic missile launches.
Also to enhance the ability to counter the threat from North Korea, the South Korean Navy announced on April 25 that the country and the United States will conduct a live-fire exercise in the Yellow Sea today to demonstrate the strong alliance against the threat from North Korea.

The exercise will include the 4,400-ton destroyer Wanggeon and the USS Wayne E. Meyer, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer of the US Navy. In addition, the alliance will also conduct another large-scale joint naval exercise “around the end of April” in the Sea of Japan, with the participation of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson.
The successive drills are aimed at demonstrating the alliance's resolve to respond to Pyongyang's provocations.
