President-elect Htin Kyaw of the National League for Democracy (NLD) party was sworn in today (March 30), officially becoming the new President of Myanmar.

Mr. Htin Kyaw, 69 years old, from the National League for Democracy party led by Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi, was elected on March 15 as the first civilian President of Myanmar in decades.
