Comrade Dinh The Huynh stated: “The remaining two years are a time for us to strive resolutely to regain growth momentum, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and strive to achieve the highest possible level of the goals and tasks set forth by the 11th National Party Congress. This is an extremely heavy task for the entire Party, army, and people, in which the press plays an extremely important role. No country or nation can overcome difficulties and challenges without the concerted efforts of the entire people.”
On behalf of the Government, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam affirmed that in 2014, the Government would continue to manage policies and mechanisms with the goal of maintaining growth, ensuring macroeconomic stability, guaranteeing social security, and especially implementing stronger reforms to create momentum for more sustainable development in the next term. This requires a very high level of consensus in society, including the important role of the press. The Deputy Prime Minister requested that the press focus on promoting and commending, while also offering constructive criticism, so that the Government's policies become more effective and rational, leading to sustainable national development.
