In 2015, the Government assigned Nghe An province a target of 2,700 young men for military service. The province aimed to successfully complete the task, meet the target, ensure quality, and adhere to the stipulated timeframe. No recruits were rejected after the recruitment process. Specifically, in the first phase, citizens from the districts of Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, Do Luong, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong, Vinh City, and Cua Lo Town enlisted on March 6, 2015; in the second phase, citizens from the districts of Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Anh Son, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa Town, and Hoang Mai Town enlisted on September 8, 2015. At the coordination meeting, the localities and receiving units discussed and analyzed the strengths and weaknesses to learn from experience and improve the performance of the task. Representatives from the units also signed the memorandum of cooperation for the handover and reception of troops in 2015.
To improve the quality of military recruitment in 2015 and subsequent years, localities and units need to strictly adhere to the procedures and regulations of the law in the selection and conscription of citizens into the armed forces. The implementation process must leverage the responsibility of the entire political system, following the motto "Recruit only those who are certain to be recruited," ensuring that no communes are left without recruits. Districts and cities should strengthen close coordination with the receiving units, fostering high levels of unity and consensus in organization and implementation. The organization of the handover and reception ceremony will be carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of National Defense to ensure the handover of the required number of recruits, in compliance with the law, safely, and economically, meeting the requirements of national defense in the new situation.
