(Baonghean.vn) - That was the information given at the Conference to summarize the training, testing, and licensing of road motor vehicle drivers in 2018 and deploy tasks for 2019 on the afternoon of January 11.
Many breakthroughs in training
Nghe An currently has 9 car driving training facilities. The training facilities have continuously improved the quality of management; the team of teachers and managers ensures quantity and quality; fully implements the training program, ensuring the correct standards, requirements and training tasks.

During the year, the Department has implemented many solutions, creating breakthroughs in training, testing and granting driving licenses such as maintaining good application of information technology in granting driving licenses with returning driving licenses immediately after students pass the car test; the software system for managing, transmitting data and printing driving licenses operates stably.
The implementation of the automatic queuing system and online issuance and renewal of driving licenses has contributed to reducing disorder in the process of renewing driving licenses. The Department of Transport in coordination with Nghe An Post Office receives and returns driving licenses at the Post Office Centers of 21 districts, cities and towns in the province.

In particular, in 2018, the Department of Transport synchronously applied information technology to the management, testing, and licensing of road motor vehicle drivers at the Centers.
Therefore, through 172 car tests, 403 motorcycle tests were recorded and broadcast publicly in the waiting room by the surveillance camera system, ensuring fairness, transparency and objectivity for students. As a result of the work in 2018, more than 140,600 driving licenses were issued by the Department of Transport to people, of which 114,000 licenses were newly issued immediately after students passed the tests.
Tighten training and testing
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Nguyen Duc An emphasized: Recently, the "hot" issue that has received public attention is many tragic accidents, which are related to driver training and testing, and the professional ethics of drivers. This is an issue that the transport sector is interested in directing, in which it will tighten and improve the quality of driver training and testing to ensure traffic safety.

Deputy Director of Information, in 2019, the Ministry of Transport will amend Decree 138, Circular 12 on driver training and testing, accordingly there will be many new regulations to improve driver license training and apply technology in driver training and testing such as timing through monitoring of travel devices.
“That requires the teaching curriculum of driving training centers to also change. The Department of Transport will establish inspection teams to review all driving licenses of teachers at driving training centers. At the same time, training facilities need to coordinate with the Traffic Inspectorate to promptly handle the situation of “unlicensed driving practice cars” - said the Deputy Director of the Department of Transport.

For the 2019 task, the Department of Transport will develop regulations and plans for driver training and testing according to the new Circular 12 of the Ministry of Transport.
The Department of Transport requires the Centers to focus on improving training quality, improving ethics for drivers, fighting all negative manifestations, and making an important contribution to reducing traffic accidents in the province.
At the same time, continue to coordinate with the Provincial Post Office to receive and return driver's licenses at the one-stop department and testing points, to reduce costs and travel time for people.
