On the morning of February 5, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to deploy the plan to implement policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance in Nghe An province in 2020. Attending were comrades Dao Viet Anh - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Thanh Hien - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.
In 2019, thanks to the drastic direction in the direction and management, along with the active participation of relevant sectors, the health insurance coverage rate of the whole province reached 90.5% of the population, completing the socio-economic targets assigned by the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee. The whole province had more than 2.91 million people participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance; an increase of 30,000 people compared to 2018.

In 2019, total revenue from social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance reached more than 6,356.1 billion VND. The province resolved and managed the payment of salary and social insurance benefits for more than 278,234 people; and paid medical examination and treatment benefits for more than 5.5 million people.Entering 2020, Nghe An province set the following goals in implementing policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance: The rate of health insurance participants reached 90.6%; the social insurance coverage target compared to the working-age labor force was 16.09%; the social insurance debt ratio was equal to or lower than the national average debt ratio; achieving level 4 online public services; 100% of units and organizations carried out electronic transactions on social insurance and health insurance.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dao Viet Anh - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security highly appreciated the results of implementing policies and laws on social insurance and health insurance of Nghe An province and suggested that in 2020, the province continue to do a good job in developing social insurance and health insurance participants; well manage health insurance medical examination and treatment costs and do a good job of communicating to raise people's awareness of social insurance and health insurance. |

Receiving the instructions of the Vietnam Social Security, concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long stated: In 2020, Nghe An will continue to strengthen the leadership and direction of the Party on social insurance and health insurance; innovate methods, contents, and forms of propaganda and mobilization of social insurance and health insurance participants; promote the development of social insurance and health insurance participants, ensuring sufficient targets according to the roadmap; strengthen inspection of the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies and laws; strengthen measures to manage and use the health insurance fund reasonably and effectively; reform administrative procedures, effectively deploy a multimedia interactive system with people and businesses. |
