In 2023, the number of new cars purchased in Nghe An decreased sharply
(Baonghean.vn) - In 2022, Nghe An was among the "top provinces" in the country in terms of the number of newly purchased cars with over 27,000 vehicles; however, in 2023, the number of newly purchased cars decreased to 20,000 vehicles.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province, in 2022, the province had 27,404 newly registered cars. However, as of December 30, 2023, the number of newly purchased cars was 20,000, a decrease of more than 7,000 compared to 2022.
Thus, as of December 31, 2023, the total number of vehicles under management in Nghe An province is 177,533 cars of all kinds, of which over 90,000 are cars and the rest are trucks.
According to a survey, Nghe An people mainly buy popular cars ranging from 450 - 700 million VND, luxury and super luxury cars are not many.
Explaining why Nghe An people buy fewer cars than previous years, according to experts, in the past year the general economic difficulties, from real estate to labor export, other production and business sectors have caused people's income to decrease.
Some car dealers in Vinh city said that people often buy cars at the end of the year. Currently, car companies have many policies to support prices and buy cars on installments, but this year very few customers buy cars.
