Male worker 'works' left-handed with drugs
(Baonghean.vn) - While working as a worker in a mountainous district of Quang Tri province, Dat bought drugs from a local man and calculated that he would earn a profit of 20 million VND.
On May 20, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial of defendant Nguyen Tien Dat (born 1993), residing in Ky Tien commune, Ky Anh district (Ha Tinh) for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".
The indictment shows that while working as a worker in Huong Hoa district (Quang Tri), Dat met a Van Kieu ethnic man.

Knowing that this person had drugs, on the afternoon of October 27, 2021, Dat took a bus from Huc commune, Huong Hoa district to the border area to buy 10 packages of drugs (weighing more than 187 grams) for 30 million VND.
The next afternoon, Dat took a bus to Vinh City (Nghe An) to sell drugs to a man (unknown background and address) for 50 million VND. At a hotel in Vinh City, while Dat was waiting for a customer to bring money to carry out the transaction, the police force suddenly arrived and arrested him.
At the trial, the defendant admitted his crime. At the same time, he asked the court to consider reducing his sentence and giving him a chance to start his life over.
