Initial information, at around 1:00 p.m. on April 10, Mr. Cao Tien Son (born in 1978, residing in Hamlet 13, Thanh Luong Commune, Thanh Chuong District) drove a 4-seat car with license plate 37A-120.54 carrying Mr. Nguyen Trong Bay (born in 1950, residing in Hamlet 2, Thanh Luong Commune, Thanh Chuong District) on the inter-commune road in the direction of Nam Hung Commune - Thanh Khai Commune, Thanh Chuong District.
When going through the lake area left by the brick kiln, Mr. Son's car suddenly fell into the lake, trapping both people in the car.
Hearing the screams, some nearby people ran to help but it was too late.
Upon receiving the news, the Nam Dan District search and rescue team dispatched nearly 100 people from the police, military, and militia forces to the scene for rescue. At 5:30 p.m. on April 10, the search and rescue team found the bodies of both victims.
It is known that Mr. Bay is the Director of Rao Gang Brick Factory, located in Thanh Khai Commune, Thanh Chuong District. According to Mr. Le Chu Hung, Chief of Nam Thai Commune Police, the area where the accident occurred is a lake left by an old brick kiln with a depth of 10-12m.
