(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 15th, a traffic accident occurred on National Highway 46B at the intersection in Nam Giang commune (Nam Dan district) between a truck and an electric bicycle, resulting in one fatality.

The victim of the accident has been identified as Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai (residing in Hamlet 17, Xuan Lam Commune, Nam Dan District).
According to initial information, at approximately 2:40 PM on October 15th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai was riding her electric bicycle from Hung Tay commune (Hung Nguyen district) towards Nam Giang commune (Nam Dan district). When she reached the intersection of National Highway 46B and the inter-communal road in Nam Giang commune, a truck carrying soil with license plate 37C-072.99 (driver's identity unknown) suddenly crashed into her electric bicycle.
The accident resulted in Ms. Hai's immediate death. It is known that on the afternoon of October 15th, Ms. Hai was returning home after attending a relative's funeral when the accident occurred. The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the Nam Dan District Police.
The intersection of National Highway 46B and the Nam Giang inter-communal road is a "black spot" for traffic accidents. While visibility is unobstructed and warning signs are in place, traffic lights have not been installed at this intersection. Many serious traffic accidents have occurred there.
