Nam Em officially becomes National Director of Miss Earth Vietnam 2017

Miss Nam Em will join the journey to find a Vietnamese representative to compete in Miss Earth 2017.

Recently, the Organizing Committee of Miss Earth Vietnam 2017 confirmed that Nam Em will take on the role of National Director and begin the journey to find a Vietnamese representative to participate in the Miss Earth 2017 contest.

Miss Earth is an annual international beauty pageant organized since 2001 by the Carousel Productions Corporation of the Philippines. Along with the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants, Miss Earth is one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of contestants from participating countries as well as the number of countries that organize the contest to select contestants for this arena.

Vietnam has sent representatives to this contest many times, with the best achievement being Nam Em in 2016. She entered the Top 8 and won a series of subsidiary awards such as Miss Photogenic, silver prize in the talent and evening gown competitions, and Top 3 Best Environmental Project.

She even had a chance to achieve a higher result after unfortunately missing out on the chance to enter the Top 4 when the 3rd runner-up of the contest returned the title. Because of this bad luck, this year, when taking on a new role, Nam Em expressed her determination to work with the Vietnamese representative to achieve the highest result in the contest.

As the National Director, Nam Em will be responsible for nominating, selecting and training Vietnamese beauties to compete in Miss Earth 2017. With the experience of her predecessors, and lessons learned from participating in many beauty contests at home and abroad, Nam Em expressed confidence in what she can share with this year's new beauty.

Sharing about her new role, Nam Em also said: “Up to now, Nam Em still retains the wonderful emotions that she had throughout the journey from preparing to attending the Miss Earth 2016 contest in the Philippines. With her role and ability, Nam Em will become a close friend of the beauty who will represent the contest this year. Nam Em will certainly do her best so that Vietnam will have a representative to compete in the most perfect way possible.”

Nam Em said that there are currently many choices for the beauty queens who will compete. In addition to accompanying and sharing experiences with the Vietnamese representative, Nam Em is also expected to spend time participating in the official activities of Miss Earth 2017.

The Miss Earth 2017 pageant continues to take place in the Philippines this year. The final night is scheduled to be held on November 4. The official theme of this year’s pageant has been determined to be “Heroines Fighting Climate Change”!
