9th grade male student left his bicycle on the bridge and jumped into the river to commit suicide
Seeing a teenage boy riding his bicycle to the middle of the bridge, then abandoning it, climbing over the railing with the intention of jumping off the bridge to commit suicide, people rushed over to stop him but it was too late.
As of the afternoon of October 21, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, was still coordinating with functional forces to search for the 9th grade male student who jumped off Ham Rong Bridge to commit suicide at noon the same day.

Previously, at around 10:00 a.m. on October 21, some residents saw a teenage boy riding a bicycle to the middle of Ham Rong Bridge (in Ham Rong Ward, Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Province), then leaving his bicycle in the middle of the bridge, then climbing onto the railing with the intention of jumping off the bridge to commit suicide.
Seeing this, some people approached with the intention of stopping him. However, in a split second, the male student threw himself into the fast-flowing Ma River and disappeared.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Thanh Hoa Provincial Police) mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to search. However, the search and rescue work encountered many difficulties because the river water was flowing fast and the weather was cold.
The male teenager who jumped off the bridge was identified as DKT (grade 9 student, from Thieu Duong commune, Thanh Hoa city).
Authorities are still trying to find the male student who jumped off the bridge.
