Thai male student achieved top score in block C with dream of entering the police force

Vi Van Tuan is the eldest child in a poor family of two children in Tam village, Chau Phong commune, Quy Chau district. His father works as a hired hand all year round and his mother stays at home to farm. But from a young age, Tuan has been conscious of studying hard. Pitying his parents for working hard to provide for his two children's education, Tuan is always determined to overcome his circumstances to achieve the best academic results, worthy of his parents' sacrifice.

With his intelligence, diligence and willingness to learn, Tuan always tried his best during his primary school years. At the end of the 5th grade, Vi Van Tuan was determined to enter Quy Chau Ethnic Boarding Secondary School - a school for students from mountainous areas with good academic achievements and the ability to excel in life.

During his years at this school, Tuan always maintained the title of an excellent student, being among the top students in the district. With the determination to pursue his dream, at the end of the 9th grade, Tuan achieved high results and continued to be admitted to the Ethnic Minority Boarding High School No. 2 so that his parents would not have to worry about his tuition and living expenses.

With his efforts, Tuan was trusted and elected to hold the position of class monitor in grades 11 and 12. Taking on this position, he demonstrated his responsibility to the group, was trusted by teachers and loved by friends, helped weaker students, shared good learning methods, and contributed to creating outstanding achievements for the class.

During his 3 years studying at Ethnic Minority Boarding High School No. 2, Tuan has received many certificates of merit at all levels for his academic achievements. Besides studying, Tuan also regularly spends time on union activities, recreational activities, and sports with his friends. He is also the core of the school's arts, assisting in choreographing and staging performances in large and small programs at the school... During his three years of high school, he has always been an excellent student, ranking among the top students in the class.

Based on his achievements and enthusiasm in class and school movements, Tuan was selected to attend a Party sympathy training class in September 2022.

The achievements that Tuan has achieved today are the result of a process of continuous training, studying and striving. He is always loved and respected by teachers and friends. His efforts have been duly rewarded. In the 2023 National High School Exam, Vi Van Tuan achieved a total score of 28.75, the top student in block C.

Tuan shared: “I don’t spend too much time studying, but when I’m in class, I always pay attention, concentrate to absorb all the knowledge that the teachers teach, and underline any unclear parts so that I can ask the teachers again at the end of the class. When I’m in my room, I still spend time on sports, but when it comes to self-study, I always study hard to better grasp the knowledge in the textbooks and what the teachers have taught in class. Besides, I look for types of exercises on the Internet, and after solving them, I ask the teachers to correct my exercises to gain experience. The process of solving exercises not only helps me improve my knowledge but also increases my speed in doing exercises.”

In the 3 subjects of block C, Vi Van Tuan has completed the exam of all 3 subjects excellently, averaging 9.5 points in each subject. Commenting on Tuan, teacher Nguyen Thi Van Hanh - homeroom teacher of class 12 C and also his Literature teacher said: "Tuan is one of the typical examples of highland students in terms of effort and perseverance in studying. Right from the first days of entering this school, he clearly determined his studies and future dreams, so with the support of teachers, he has gradually achieved many high results throughout his studies. The results of the National High School Exam this year are worthy of Tuan's diligence and efforts throughout the past time. We are proud and believe that he will achieve his dream".

With the results that Tuan has achieved, he has brought joy and love to his parents, teachers, friends and his hometown. Talking to us, Mr. Vi Van Bay - Tuan's father said: "Although our parents are in difficulty, we are determined not to let our children drop out of school, always encouraging them to persevere and try their best, first of all for their future, then for their family, parents, clan and this poor village. My child's results today make me proud. Although there is still a long way to go, and there is no announcement from the school he has chosen, no matter what, he is still the most wonderful thing to his parents."
