Immediately after the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam were announced, Le Duy Hoang, a 12A1 student at Dien Chau 4 High School, became a prominent name in Dien Chau district when he excellently achieved the runner-up position in block D of Nghe An.

Le Duy Hoang was born and raised in a family with a tradition of education. His parents are both high school teachers, so he received careful care from his family in his studies. Therefore, Hoang was always an excellent student in all three levels of education. In grade 12 alone, Hoang won second prize in the provincial excellent student competition for English, with an average score of 9.7 points at the end of the year.

In the 2024 high school graduation exam, Hoang scored 28.3 points in block D (including 9.4 points in Math, 9.4 points in English, and 9.5 points in Literature). He is one of 4 candidates with the second highest score in block D in the province.

With confidence and maturity, Hoang is not afraid to share his learning secrets as well as his passion for Math, Literature, and English: “My father is a Math teacher, my mother is an English teacher at the high school where I study, so my passion for these subjects is passed down from my parents. Although my parents are teachers, I do not feel pressured but rather proud of my family tradition and strive to study better to set an example for my friends.”

With good learning ability and high sense of responsibility, Hoang was elected by his classmates as the deputy monitor of the class. Not only does he support and correct his classmates' homework, he also creates study groups on social networks to share knowledge and tutor weak students.

Talking about the way of studying, Hoang shared that he always tries to build a scientific study plan and set goals for himself at each specific stage. “With English, I do not consider it a pure subject but consider it a tool to be able to communicate and help me access a lot of other knowledge. Besides practicing many questions to train myself to have quick reflexes, we must train ourselves to have a strong mentality to enter the exam room with the best alertness.”

Hoang said that the 9.4 points in English in the 2024 high school graduation exam that he achieved "largely" came from his mother - an English teacher.

As for Literature - a subject that is considered to be very emotional, Hoang has a rather different approach. “Writing is not rambling but needs to be focused and have enough capacity. When writing Literature, I often create more and only consider sample essays as a source of reference material. Mathematics also has a great attraction and fascination for me. I am very happy and motivated after each time struggling to find solutions to difficult Math problems. In addition, I often ask for help from subject teachers and my father in guiding and suggesting approaches and ways to solve good Math problems. That is also the way I accumulate more knowledge about the subject,” Hoang said.

Being proactive in his studies, Hoang has time to support his classmates with knowledge, participate in school activities and sports such as table tennis and badminton.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Trung, Hoang's mother, is very happy and pleased with the results her son has achieved. "As both a mother and a homeroom teacher, I do not put pressure on him. The most important thing I initially instilled in him was passion and the spirit of self-study. I also oriented him to study all subjects equally. The results he has today are the result of the efforts and dedication of the teachers and Hoang's serious efforts."

Knowing that Hoang became the runner-up of the D block in the whole province, the teachers and students of the school were very happy and proud but not too surprised. This result is worthy of his ability and efforts. During his studies in class, Hoang always had excellent results and was always in the top group. Not only was he a capable student in terms of studying, but he was also very serious in terms of training. Hoang had high discipline and team spirit. Hoang tried very hard and received good results for his diligence.
