On the evening of July 30, teacher Cao Lan Thanh - Vice Principal of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted happily announced: Student Pham Trung Quoc Anh - grade 12 A4 student - just won the Gold Medal at the 2020 International Chemistry Olympiad.

Previously, Pham Trung Quoc Anh was the student with the highest score in the second round of the national team selection exam. He is also an excellent student who has won prizes in the national excellent student competition for two consecutive years. In particular, he won first prize in grade 12 and second prize in grade 11.
As planned, the welcoming and awarding ceremony for Pham Trung Quoc Anh will be held on the afternoon of July 31 at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.
This year's International Chemistry Olympiad was held online due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Vietnamese team had 4 contestants participating in this competition and all students won gold medals.
