On the afternoon of February 18, Tan Ky District People's Court held a criminal trial against Le Van Hau (born in 1995, residing in Bich Thai 2 hamlet, Nghia Thai commune, Tan Ky district) for intentionally causing injury.
According to the indictment, on September 13, 2019, Thai Ba Manh attended a wedding at Mr. Tai’s house in Tan Xuan commune, Tan Ky district. At the wedding, Manh had a disagreement with a young man and was slapped in the face by this man, so Manh left.
At around 9:30 p.m. the same day, Manh, Ho Van Hao (born 1995), Ho Van Huong (born 1997) and 3 other young men invited each other to return to the wedding at Mr. Tai's house. In the car of Manh and Huong's group, there were 2 swords.

At the wedding, Manh continued to argue and fight with a group of young men. At that time, Hau, Mr. Tai's son-in-law, was lying in the house. Hearing the noise, he immediately brought a knife and ran out to repeatedly slash Mr. Huong's shoulder. When Mr. Huong ran away, Hau continued to chase him with the knife until he passed out...
Mr. Huong was 20% disabled. Hau was prosecuted and temporarily detained.At the trial, Mr. Huong requested compensation of 141,500,000 VND..Hau has not yet paid any compensation.
At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced Le Van Hau to 2 years and 6 months in prison.
