Young man uses 'sensitive' video to blackmail ex-girlfriend
After breaking up, Hieu texted Ms. N. threatening that he would post the "sensitive" video on social media for everyone to see.
On September 9, Phu Loc District Police, Thua Thien Hue Province, announced that they had just issued an emergency detention order for a subject who threatened and intimidated his ex-lover to appropriate property.
The identity of the detained subject is Le Viet Hoang Hieu (23 years old), residing in residential group 3, Phu Loc town, Phu Loc district.

According to the police, since 2016, Hieu and Ms. N. have been in a romantic relationship. During this time, Hieu recorded a "sensitive" video of the two. After that, the two broke up.
Recently, Hieu used his personal Facebook account to message Ms. N., threatening to post a previous "sensitive" video on social media for everyone to see. Ms. N. was afraid of the impact on herself and her family, so she asked to negotiate and send Hieu money to delete the video, and Hieu agreed.
On the evening of September 7, Ms. N. went to see Hieu and gave him 10 million VND. However, Ms. N. was still afraid that Hieu would continue to use that video to threaten her, so she reported it to the Investigation Police Department of Phu Loc District Police.
At the police station, Hieu admitted his crime.
