On July 1, Mr. Ta Tuan Loc, who is living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, said that his younger brother, Ta Tuan Phuc (born in 2005), has been missing for many days, showing many signs of being involved in a kidney trafficking ring abroad...

According to Mr. Loc, before his disappearance, his younger brother lived on 17/3 Street, Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province. On June 22, at 5:30 a.m., Phuc went to Mr. Loc's boarding house on Le Thi Hong Street, Ward 17, Go Vap District (now Go Vap Ward - PV) to play. Here, Phuc told his brother that he was going to the city when he followed his brother to help load and unload trucks from Pleiku City to Ho Chi Minh City.

At around 7:45 a.m. the same day, Mr. Loc went to work and left his laptop at home for his younger brother to use because Phuc did not have a phone to use.

Around 2 p.m., after returning from work, Mr. Loc did not see his younger brother so he called home to inform his family that his younger brother had taken a sleeper bus of Truong Thanh from Pleiku to Ho Chi Minh City (not as Phuc said, he was working as a busboy loading and unloading goods).

Suspecting something was wrong, Mr. Loc tried to log into his younger brother's Facebook account named "Tuan Phuc" and discovered that his younger brother had many text messages exchanged with a person with a Facebook account named Truc Lich discussing the illegal sale of kidneys in Thailand.

This account told Phuc that depending on the blood type, the kidney would be purchased for between 1 billion and 1.3 billion VND. “Blood type AB costs 1.1 billion VND; Blood type AB costs 1.3 billion VND; Blood type O costs 1.5 billion VND. In addition, there is a post-operative allowance of 200 to 350 million VND…”, Facebook account Truc Lich chatted to entice “Tuan Phuc”.

Some chats between Facebook account Truc Lich and Loc's younger brother.

Previously, Facebook account Truc Lich said he would pay for Phuc's bus ticket from Pleiku to Ho Chi Minh City... After that, Mr. Loc contacted Truong Thanh bus company to ask for information about the account that transferred the money and collected information about the account owner named Tran Dao Thien Trang, OCB Bank.

Continuing reading the message, Mr. Loc saw that Facebook account Truc Lich said that she would arrange a car for Phuc to move from Mr. Loc's boarding house to an unknown coffee shop by motorbike taxi, then a car would come to pick him up.

“All your travel arrangements have been arranged for you. When you move to Saigon, I will send your phone number to the driver I hired, they will come to pick you up and take you via Moc Bai, Tay Ninh. After arriving at the Moc Bai, Tay Ninh border, you will get off the car and change motorbikes twice to cross the border via a small road for about 10 to 15 minutes. At the end of the border, a car will pick you up and take you along the national highway through Cambodia to the Thai border... When you reach the Thai border, I will personally pick you up. I will support you with all the travel expenses, food, medical examination procedures, and hospital fees from Saigon to the hospital. After the surgery, the doctor will let you leave the hospital and return to Saigon...”, Facebook account Truc Lich instructed Phuc in detail about all the routes.

Security cameras recorded Phuc getting on a motorbike with license plate 83H1-13701 driven by a stranger and taking him to an unknown destination...

Furthermore, Facebook account Truc Lich also said that he would support Phuc to "shift" (meaning to have kidney-selling surgery - PV) at Bumrungrad International Hospital (Bangkok, Thailand) because "only this hospital can buy fake records from others to create a medical record for Phuc to shift".

Facebook account Truc Lich continued to instruct: “When the hospital receives the application, you will receive an advance payment of 50% of the amount; you will receive the remaining 50% in full 3 hours before your shift. When you go to work, the doctor will anesthetize you for 3 to 4 hours, you will wake up and be taken to the recovery room... And 3 days later, you will practice walking again, I will bring the patient's family to visit you and give you post-operative compensation. You will stay in the hospital for 5 to 7 days so that the doctor can monitor your health and see if it is stable, then I will take you to complete the discharge procedures and let you return to Vietnam...”.

In addition to reporting to the ward police, Mr. Loc also sent information about the incident to the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department via VneID software.

The time of the last message, Facebook account Truc Lich sent to Loc's younger brother was 9:52 am on the same day. And this last message also gave Phuc an additional instruction: "If anyone asks where you are going, don't say you are selling your kidney, to ensure your safety and my safety"!?

Mr. Loc asked to extract the security camera of the boarding house and discovered that the last image of his younger brother was on a motorbike with license plate 83H1-13701 driven by a stranger to an unknown location. When leaving, Phuc was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts with white stripes, and carrying a black backpack.

After collecting enough information, on the evening of June 24, Mr. Loc went to Ward 17 Police Station, Go Vap District to report the incident, and at the same time sent information to Ho Chi Minh City Police via VneID software... Since then, Mr. Loc has not had any information about his younger brother.

“On June 28, the phone number 0528877385 called and provided information that my younger brother was in Vung Tau at the address: 35 Ben Nom, Rach Dua Ward, Ba Ria City, Vung Tau (old). Suspecting fraud, I did not go and waited for news from the police. Currently, my family and relatives are very sad and panicked. I hope my younger brother can return,” Mr. Loc shared.
