Vietnamese Canadian man stabbed to death by group of young men
After being refused an apology for blocking the wrong road, a group of young men in Khanh Hoa caused trouble, pulled out knives and stabbed four people, including a Vietnamese expatriate man who died.
On the afternoon of February 23, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said they were temporarily detainingPham Thanh Khanh (23 years old) and three suspects are being investigated for stabbing Vo Dinh Toan (37 years old, Canadian nationality) to death and injuring three others.

First step of Khanh openingOn February 22, he and three friends had a conflict with some young men, so they went looking for them. When they saw Toan's group in Van Phuoc commune, Van Ninh district, they blocked the road but realized they had the wrong person and apologized.
The two sides argued and then fought.The Vietnamese-American man was stabbed and died. Vo Duy Dong (33 years old) and two relatives of the victim were also injured when they tried to intervene.The group of perpetrators fled the scene and turned themselves in to the police several hours later.
Lying on a hospital bed with his injuries just bandaged, Mr. Dong said that his family of more than ten peopleorganize outing. KWhen they returned home, they were surrounded by a group of young men on motorbikes, so they reacted."I had no conflict with them. It was because they blocked our way that we got into a fight," said Mr. Dong.

According to his family, Toan is from Khanh Hoa and has been living in Canada for many years. This time, he went back to his hometown for Tet and encountered an incident.
