London high-rise fire victim 'gifted' million-dollar house

Several apartments in the multi-million dollar building have been set aside as temporary shelters for people who lost their homes in the Grenfell Tower fire.

The City of London and the Housing and Communities Agency have agreed to buy 68 brand new flats from the Kensington High Street project and hand them over to families who lost their homes after the Grenfell Tower fire.

This is considered the immediate compensation action of the London city government, after the great loss of the affected families.

“We are ready to do everything we can to help the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire,” a London City Council spokesman said.

London authorities want people to stabilize their lives and return to their normal routine as soon as possible.

A representative of Berkeley Group, the owner of the Kensington High Street project, also confirmed the above information.

Kensington High Street is a luxury and convenient housing project. The price of penthouse apartments is up to 13 million USD.

Residents living in Kensington High Street also enjoy full access to amenities and services.

The move is in response to demands from Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn that the government provide early and adequate housing for people.
