Improving the quality of training and professional development for grassroots officials.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 24th, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, held a working session with the Provincial Political School regarding the training and development of grassroots cadres.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Ba Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department, along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization and Mass Mobilization Department and various departments and agencies.

With a 68-year tradition of operation, the Provincial Political School has made many positive contributions to the training and development of grassroots-level officials. Over the years, the school has collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Public Administration and the Regional Academy of Public Administration I to open 56 advanced and intermediate-level courses in political and administrative theory, and intermediate-level courses in administration and document management; and intermediate-level courses in politics and law for tens of thousands of trainees, including key management officials from departments, agencies, districts, and communes. The school has also collaborated with central training institutions to open 110 training courses on state management knowledge, specialist promotion, training for officials of mass organizations, training for entrepreneurs, and Lao language training for students from northern provinces.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Hien, Principal of the Political School, reported on the school's activities.

To fulfill its assigned tasks, over the years, with the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and various departments and agencies, the Political School has strived to improve the knowledge and capacity of its cadres and Party members, and strengthen its facilities to support training. From 2004 to 2013, the school implemented 53 scientific research projects that combined practical experience with theory to serve teaching. Currently, the school is implementing the research projects "Research on some solutions to innovate the organization and improve the effectiveness of state management of commune-level governments in Nghe An province in the period 2013-2020" and "The role of the grassroots political system in Nghe An in organizing and mobilizing the people to build new rural areas," along with 5 other school-level projects with practical value. The school principal stated that, in order to meet the demands of the new era, the school needs to continue focusing on training and improving the theoretical knowledge combined with practical skills of the staff, as well as upgrading the facilities.

Following the remarks from leaders of Party committees, departments, and functional agencies, and concluding the meeting, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc acknowledged the efforts of the Political School in coordinating the training and development of cadres at all levels. He directed the school's leadership, staff, and lecturers to focus on improving their skills, especially soft skills, to train grassroots cadres. In this process, they should promote scientific research and the summarization of practical experience combined with theory to gradually improve the quality of lectures, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

In particular, during the period when the province is actively implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo on building Nghe An into an economic and social center of the North Central provinces, the contributions of the Political School in training leading cadres at all levels play a crucial role. Therefore, the Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the school's cadres, leaders, and lecturers will strive in all aspects, including ethics, theoretical knowledge, and the ability to connect with practical experience, in order to effectively impart knowledge to the trainees. Regarding the school's recommendations and proposals, the Provincial Party Secretary assigned relevant departments and agencies to conduct surveys and submit them to the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee for resolution.
