Improving the quality of external information and press work.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 23, 2014, in Vinh City, the People's Committee of Nghe An province organized a training conference on external information and journalism in 2014. Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, chaired the conference.

The training session was attended by representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, media agencies, relevant departments and agencies, as well as spokespersons and media managers from districts, cities, and towns.

Comrade Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, introduced the content of the training session.

Mr. Le Van Nghiem, Director of the Department of External Information, Ministry of Information and Communications, directly conveyed information related to external information and spokesperson duties, and provided information to the press.

Comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a speech at the training session.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highlighted the purpose, significance, and content of the training course. He highly appreciated the results of external information dissemination and press management in the province over the past period, while also pointing out some shortcomings and limitations. This is the reason why the Provincial People's Committee periodically organizes conferences to improve knowledge and capacity in managing external information and providing information to the press.

During the one-day session, delegates heard about some basic aspects of the external information work in the face of complex developments in the world situation; the issue of national borders and territorial integrity and the protection of national sovereignty in the East Sea in the context of regional geopolitical relations; the current state of external information management at the provincial level, the implementation of regulations on spokespersons and providing information to the press in localities and the responsibilities of relevant parties; and some solutions to improve the quality of press information management in the future…

In addition to the above content, delegates also received further information from experts of the Ministry of Information and Communications on information and communication work related to human rights, skills and procedures for handling media crises, steps to prepare for press conferences and answering press interviews; legal documents related to state management of external information and regulations on speaking and providing information to the press; and the Provincial People's Committee's regulations "on speaking, providing, publishing and handling information in the press within Nghe An province"...
