Improve the quality of introducing outstanding members to the Party

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 14, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held a conference to review the work of the Youth Union and Youth Movement in the first 6 months of 2014 and to review 5 years of implementing the campaign for Youth Union members to strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Attending were members of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, representatives of district, town Youth Unions, affiliated Youth Unions and related departments, branches, sectors and organizations.

Conference overview

In the first 6 months of 2014, the Youth Union organizations have effectively exploited and used more than 500 billion VND of policy bank loans, creating jobs for more than 24,000 young workers; established 30 volunteer youth teams with the participation of more than 200 union members; recruited 15,215 union members, introduced 4,200 outstanding union members, of which 1,832 union members were admitted to the Party... In 5 years (2008 - 2013), introduced 56,982 outstanding union members, of which 24,606 union members were admitted to the Party.

At the Conference, delegates discussed and contributed opinions on a number of issues of interest to the Youth Union at all levels, including: propaganda and education work for union members and youth; grasping public opinion before the event of China illegally placing the Haiyang 981 drilling rig in Vietnam's exclusive economic zone and continental shelf; solutions to effectively implement the "Year of Youth Volunteers 2014", new ways and creative models in organizing activities of the Youth Union, Associations and Teams; improving the quality of introducing outstanding union members for the Party to consider and admit, etc.
