Improve the quality of organization and construction of militia and self-defense forces

Over the years, the forcemilitiaThe province's militia force is tightly organized, regularly consolidated and improved with reasonable quantity and high quality. Every year, the organization organizes training and fostering of cadres, and trains militia and self-defense forces, reaching over 98% of the total number. The militia and self-defense force has actively participated in socio-economic development activities, strengthened national defense and security, contributed to the locality in economic development, building new rural areas, building cultural life, maintaining political security, social order and safety, effectively resolving incidents of natural disasters, floods, fires, forest fires, and preventing the Covid-19 epidemic.

Currently, the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces No. 48, dated November 22, 2019, Decree No. 72, dated June 30, 2020 of the Government officially took effect from July 1, 2020, many regulations, regimes and policies have changed, requiring the implementation of militia and self-defense work to change, ensuring timely and correct compliance with legal regulations.

The objective of the project for the 2021-2025 period is to improve the quality of force organization, training, and operations of the militia and self-defense forces, contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the locality and acting as the core in the movement of the entire people to fight the enemy and protect the locality when situations arise.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested: In the coming time, the standing agency of the Provincial Military Command will continue to study documents and resolutions of all levels, synthesize comments from departments, branches, districts, cities and towns. The Department of Finance will study and calculate on the basis of the project to arrange annual budget estimates, ensuring funding for regular and unexpected tasks in organizing forces, training and militia and self-defense activities.

Strengthening and consolidating, building a strong and widespread force; at the same time, proactively coordinating with functional agencies in training and professional training, thereby raising the awareness and responsibility of the militia and self-defense force, ready to mobilize when required. The Provincial Military Command coordinates with relevant agencies and units to urgently complete the draft project for the period of 2021 - 2025 under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, to submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council in the coming time.
