Improving the management of district-level radio and television stations.
(Baonghean)On the morning of August 10th, the Department of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Regional Radio Frequency Center VI, organized the 2012 Conference on the Management of District-Level Radio and Television Stations.
In accordance with Decision No. 2456/QD-UBND.VX dated June 28, 2011, of the Provincial People's Committee on the transfer of district-level radio and television stations to the management of the People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns, the operation of district-level radio and television stations has gradually stabilized. These stations actively disseminate information on economic, political, and social activities taking place in their respective areas.
However, since the transfer, the district's radio and television station has faced numerous difficulties regarding staffing levels, regular operating budget, unreasonable remuneration policies, a shortage of personnel to manage local radio stations, low professional qualifications of reporters, and severely dilapidated infrastructure and facilities, etc.
From now until the end of 2012, the Department of Information and Communications will coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to find practical solutions to address obstacles and create favorable conditions for district-level broadcasting stations to operate effectively.
